Helpful Information
v7 FRT Specs
-
304 stainless steel.
-
Tumbled, deburred and polished.
-
Requires no tuning or modification before installation.
-
Unique in the market. Reduces wear on the plastic TX22 striker housing and limited to a minimal rounding of the plastic housing area in front of the striker block.
-
Lasts for the life of the TX22.
USE LIGHT TRIGGER PRESSURE.
This forced reset disconnector does not convert a TX22 into a machine gun. Pulling the trigger too hard will create upward pressure on the disconnector and will stop or slow the slide. The result may be a failure to feed, striker reset or trigger reset. Extended hard trigger use will cause excessive wear to the TX22 striker housing.
DO NOT USE the v7 FRT in combination with metal steel or metal plastic hybrid striker housings. Damage to the FRT will result. We do not warranty or replace the v7 against metal striker housing damage.
Using suppressors with a FRT:
Some people report using suppressors on a TX22 with a FRT function but most do not. Suppressors increase back pressure and ROF that may out run the magazine feed rate or allow the striker to reset. Suppressors may not function with a FRT unless:
-
The suppressor is very light, aluminum/titanium suppressors under 4 oz.
-
Weight is added to the slide.
-
A Rate Reducer is used.
Ammo
The TX22 prefers high velocity ammo with a FRT. We use CCI Mini Mag 40Gr Round Nose ammo for reliability but most high velocity 1200+ fps round nose ammo is recommended. Barrels 4.6" or shorter will keep HV ammo subsonic but the extra power helps with reliability. Use of hyper sonic 22LR ammo will increase wear of the TX22.
Tools
A 1/16” punch with a 1" or longer rod is required for installation.
